Artober Fest Vendor Application

Upcountry Provisions is partnering with the Travelers Rest Community for a fundraising event to benefit the children at Shriners Hospital of Greenville. This festival of art, music and food will be held on October 14th from 11:00am to 5:00pm, rain or shine, at Upcountry Provisions Bakery & Bistro in Travelers Rest, SC (6809 State Park Rd.).

We are looking for talented artists, indie crafters, and specialty food and beverage vendors who would like to sell their handmade goods during this festival.

All vendors receive two complimentary tickets to the VIP and Vendor Dinner Friday at Upcountry Provisions on October 13th from 6:00-9:00pm. We will have live music, lots of delicious food from local farms and restaurants and a cash bar with local craft beer and wine to kick off this event.

Artist Application deadline: September 20th
Notification of acceptance: September 22th

Vendor Rules:

  • All work must be original, handcrafted work produced by the artist and not the result of commercial kits or molds. No flea market items may be sold.
  • The work exhibited must match the quality and style of the style represented by the artist in his or her application.
  • All food and beverage vendors are automatically entered into the culinary artist challenge.
  • We ask any artist that is able to donate an item to the raffle to submit the item at check-in Saturday morning.
  • Artists must be present during the entire event and must personally staff exhibit space.
  • Artists who would like to share a booth may do so, but both applicants must apply separately but may share the booth fee. The booth fee must be paid for as one transaction of $35. Early bird pricing available.
  • Booths must remain intact until closing.
  • We prefer that you leave pets at home.
  • Exhibitors should purchase their own insurance to cover personal loss or liability.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for collecting and reporting their own sales tax.

Booth Specifications:

  • Booth structures and tents must be of festival quality and no larger than 10x10. White tents are preferred.
  • Demonstrations of your craft are encouraged.
  • Tents/displays MUST be weighted down.
  • Booth assignments are at the discretion of the festival and are not interchangeable.
  • Raffle items will be placed centrally in the layout so that all attendants are guided by the raffle booth to view the auction pieces.

Vendor Fees:

  • Application fee of $5 accepted online
  • Early bird vendor registration fee $25.00 accepted online
  • Vendor registration fee of $35 accepted online
  • The vendor fee is due by October 5th following notification of acceptance to the event.
  • For the any vendor participating in the auction, 100% of the raffle tickets sales will go directly toward charity.

Cancellation and Refunds:

  • Artists must notify event staff of cancellation by October 1st or forfeit booth fee.
  • This is a rain or shine event. Exhibitors that do not show and do not cancel will not be invited back.

Acceptance Process

  • Entries will be selected based on quality of craftsmanship, creativity, originally and category need.
  • Late applications may be accepted after September 20th as space allows.

How to Apply:

  • Complete online application including attaching three images of portfolio work. Application will not be reviewed until application fee is received.

How we are getting the word out:

  • The event will be well promoted through print, social media, community websites and signage throughout Travelers Rest.

  • If you’re lucky, you’ll see your art in our advertising! (We reserve the right to use artists’ images submitted with this application in advertising and marketing for the event.)
